Caution
The location of the Southwood Bridge appears to be a bit sketchy and I definitely wouldn’t leave a car parked there. I rode my bike from Judbury and was able to chain it up in the bush out of view. But when I arrived at the bridge (covered in tyre burnout marks), there was a smashed up car that had clearly been dumped, which I’m assuming was stolen.
Due to lack of phone reception, I was unable to phone the police at the time, but while I was inflating the raft, a police divvy van drove across the bridge. Despite that, when I returned from my river trip to collect my bike the car has been further stripped, being upended onto its roof and its wheels stolen!
